Indoor Sports Facilities

You can expect a warm welcome at our Sports Centre at Arboretum Road, set in the leafy suburbs of Inverleith and surrounded by playing fields. The Centre houses a sports hall, studio, gym, climbing wall and squash courts, and is looked after by our on-site team. You don’t need to be a member to play sport or use the gym, just book online or give us a call.

Our Sports Hub set in the middle of Edinburgh’s New Town is tucked between the Botanic Gardens and Inverleith Park and is almost as green. We’re only ten minutes from Edinburgh Castle (you can see it from our grounds) yet are a private, secluded space.

Why play with us

  • Sports Centre and grounds offering a wide range of surfaces, sports and equipment to suit any sporting needs.
  • Enthusiastic and knowledgeable on-site team happy to advise, coach or support you with your activity or sport.
  • Some of the best kept grounds in the city - our grounds team keep the grass and surfaces immaculate and make sure they are in top playing condition.
  • Free parking, drop in classes and pay-and-play courts make our Sports Hub a convenient and competitively priced place to play.

Do I have to be a member to use the Sports Hub?
No, you can just pay as you play. Anybody over the age of 16 can book classes, courts or space at the Hub.

Do my children have to go to the Edinburgh Academy for me to use the Sports Hub?
No. The Centre is open to all. We are passionate about the local community using our facility.

What membership options do you have?
We don’t have membership options, it’s just pay and play.

How do I book a session or court?
Sessions are available to book online. For anything else, our team will be available to chat through booking options.

Are there changing facilities and showers?
Yes, we have changing facilities and shower rooms available in our Sports Centre.

The folk in our on-site team are a friendly bunch. Whether it’s because they get to wear tracksuits all day or the buzz they get from sport, we’re not sure. What’s more is that they have bags of experience and enthusiasm for sharing sport and activities with others. They’re on hand to help whether you need to organise coaching, want advice on getting more out of your work-out - or even to run a children’s birthday party (did we say how nice they are?)

There’s a great vibe around the Sports Centre and the team are always up for a chat about any and every type of sport (sometimes we can’t stop them…)

Reserve team
Alongside our on-site team we welcome other coaches and sports-specialists who choose the Hub for their clubs or sessions. We’ll introduce you to them as we confirm classes or sessions.
