Express yourself...
Dance workshops to keep your child on their toes (or hands, or head).
Children will join the Star Steppers team to try out different styles of dancing, learn new techniques and develop their own creative flair throughout the week. 

They will have fun learning a new choreographed routine each day, which they can showcase in an end-of-day performance. There will also be time for each child to explore their own dance style and creative their very own choreography.

With fun dance games, craft and possible dance-offs thrown in, Dance Camp promises to be lots of energetic fun for all.

Let's Dance Camp finishes at 5pm, however, all children are welcome to join our Multi-Activity Camp till 6pm, allowing you to pick up anytime between 5pm - 6pm. The session will be flexible depending on your child's interests, including fun games, quieter activities and the chance to wake up or wind down.

Dance styles showcased: 

Day 1 - Hip Hop. Discover popping, locking and break dancing. 
Day 2 - Jazz. Travel back in time to learn dances such as the Charleston.
Day 3 - Cheerleading. Pom-poms at the ready to learn cheer Pom techniques.
Day 4 - Ballet. Learn this classical style.
Day 5 - Dance extravaganza Day!
Revisiting all the routines previously learnt to put together a class dance show. A fun Dance off session followed by T-shirt decorating to take as a keepsake to remember dance camp friends.

The dance workshops are led by Miss Jenna from Star Steppers. She teaches dance in nurseries, community and schools and cheerleading for Capital Allstars. 

Jenna graduated as a Specialist Dancer from Broughton High School and went on to train at Edinburgh’s Telford College gaining qualifications in Classical Ballet Techniques, Contemporary Dance Techniques, Jazz Dance Techniques, Dance Production, Choreographic Skills, Physical Theatre Skills and Dance Teaching Skills.

Jenna has enjoyed performing in all the Edinburgh theatres over the years and is an expert at getting children to reach for the stars bringing out the performance in each and every child she teaches!

  • Dancers should wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
  • Bring a water bottle and healthy snack.
  • Please bring along a t-shirt to decorate on the last day.
