Our chefs in training will learn a solid foundation of cookery skills and techniques. Each attendee will receive an array of delicious recipes which can then be recreated at home and will gain kitchen confidence.  

We use local, in season produce and all dishes will be eaten throughout the day, with any leftovers packed up to take home to share with family or friends! 

We can accommodate for special dietary requirements on this course, please make sure details are completed on the booking form.

Children should be dropped off at the Sports Hub on Arboretum Road for 9am. Children will be registered and take part in some team building, initiation games within the sports hub before boarding the minibus to make the journey to Edinburgh School of Food and Wine, where their culinary adventure will begin.  

All ingredients and equipment will be supplied, and anything the children prepare and cook, is theirs to enjoy over the lunch break!  

Children will then board the minibus back to the Sports Hub at 4pm with a collection time of 5pm. With any time to spare, children can take part in some of our exciting sports and activities before heading home.

Led by award winning, Head Chef Ash, from the Edinburgh School of Food and Wine. The team of experienced and friendly chefs are ready to welcome you for a fun-filled day of hands-on cookery. 

  • All equipment and ingredients are provided by ESFW on each day, along with an apron to protect their clothing. 
  • Long hair must be tied back for safety reasons. 
  • Comfortable, closed toe shoes must be worn for safety reasons. 
  • A plastic water bottle can be taken and kept at the workstation, don’t worry if they forget this as refreshments will be provided.
