We have the perfect introduction to cooking
Our mini chefs will learn basic cookery skills and techniques, along with food activities to help recognise different types of food and equipment used.  

We use local, in season produce and all dishes will be eaten throughout the day, with any leftovers packed up to take home to share with family! 

We can accommodate for special dietary requirements on this course, please make sure details are completed on the booking form. 

Cookery School finishes at 5pm, however, all children are welcome to join our Multi-Activity Camp till 6pm, allowing you to pick up anytime between 5pm - 6pm. The session will be flexible depending on your child's interests, including fun games, quieter activities and the chance to wake up or wind down.

Sign in from 8am at the Academy Sports Hub on Arboretum Road.  

Start the day with team building, initiation games within the sports centre before boarding the minibus and making the short journey to Edinburgh School of Food and Wine where your culinary adventure will begin.  

All ingredients and equipment will be supplied, and anything you prepare and cook, is yours to enjoy over the lunch break!  

This is a full day camp running from 8am – 6pm and includes transportation time to and from the Edinburgh School of Food and Wine kitchens.  

The cooking camp runs from 10am until 4pm. Once back at the Sports Hub, where you will end the day joining with the multi-activity camp participating in team events, sports, and games.  

Led by award winning, Head Chef Ash, from the Edinburgh School of Food and Wine. The team of experienced and friendly chefs are ready to welcome you for a fun-filled day of hands-on cookery. 

  • All equipment and ingredients are provided by ESFW on each day, along with an apron to protect their clothing. 
  • Long hair must be tied back for safety reasons. 
  • Comfortable, closed toe shoes must be worn for safety reasons. 
  • A plastic water bottle can be taken and kept at the workstation, don’t worry if they forget this as refreshments will be provided.
